When designing the Kindling Hat, Jane Burns put the homely feeling of sitting by a crackling fire and the warmth that goes with it all in one hat.

The Kindling Hat is knitted with just two balls of Scheepjes Metropolis, which is enough for the size L hat described in the pattern. Jane Burns used the colours 078 Lyon and 039 Delhi, but with no fewer than 80 different colours in the range it is of course possible to give the design its own twist.
