This year you can opt for your kit to be sent in the traditional cardboard box, or if you would like to save $10 you can opt for no box and the yarn will be sent, gift wrapped without the cardboard box.

(侘寂 - Wabi-Sabi = the Japanese term refers to the imperfection of an object. Bernd Kestler advises not to take our hobby, handcrafting, too seriously, to allow for mistakes, and to accept them as the individuality of knitting. 

This year, Bernd has designed an Advent calendar project for an impressive scarf with 24 mesh patterns.
A new pattern with a new color will be knitted each day.

Advent Calendars:
These Advent calendars are lovingly  crafted in our yarn factory and packaged in a high-quality Bobbel Boxx. While this may not be the classic packaging of an Advent calendar with individual doors, they are environmentally friendly and sustainable , as they can be reused for storing other crafts, for example.
This year, there are four color boxes to choose from, made with wonderfully soft, hand-dyed merino wool.

How does the Mystery KAL work?
After the anticipation of opening the first door has grown immeasurably, the KAL finally starts on December 1, 2025. Until December 24, a new pattern will be published daily at approximately 9 a.m. German time, and a new color will be used. We love stroking the next cute little ball of yarn every day, helping the project continue to grow. *

The Advent calendar box contains an insert with all the information on how to access the instructions. If you're giving the Advent calendar as a gift, you don't need to worry, because all the information is included. (It's not necessary to send us the recipient's email address, as in previous years.)

Additionally, and therefore not mandatory, there is a Facebook group again. We look forward to your lively exchange – show us your projects and color variations. Bernd Kestler is also a designer in the group and will be happy to offer advice – prepare to be surprised!
Access to the Facebook group is only possible with your order ID (the link will be sent by email when the package is shipped, and a QR code is on the insert in the Advent calendar).

What is included in the Advent calendar?

• Advent calendar with 24 strands of 25g each in a practical Bobbel Boxx *
• Knitting instructions for a lace scarf (approx. 320cm x 54cm) with 24 lace patterns
• Knitting instructions:  Charts with legend in German + English,  including videos  (e.g. for weaving the threads)
• Start 01.12.2025 approx. 9 a.m.
• Daily instructional door at about 9 a.m. **
• Door publication daily in the exclusive Facebook community group for exchange (not mandatory)
• Special  surprise project  on December 24, 2025
• Current delivery time: first delivery from September

*Not all of the yarn will be used in this project. For the leftovers, there will be a surprise project on December 24, 2025.
**For orders placed after December 1, 2025, all previously published pattern parts will of course be available retroactively.
***Nova Merino is hand-dyed in our workshop. It is a fine, twisted merino yarn. The skeins must be wound into balls before starting.
