The original Donegal Tweed yarn made from 100% merino wool is the classic among tweed yarns. A beautiful modern and sporty lightweight yarn which will create comfortable knitwear and elegant knitted patterns (Fair Island) that will make you simply feel good!
To create a women's sweater approximately to 400gm - 500gm of Donegal Tweed yarn is required. The Donegal gets its softness after the first hand wash with a wool detergent or a mild shampoo, the characteristic tweed inclusions become clear, the colors fresher, a little loving wash and more gorgeous secrets of the yarn are revealed!
