KAL - we're knitting the stunning illusion shawl together for Mother's Day 2026.
We're kicking off the long Easter weekend with knitting fun on Maundy Thursday! There will be four parts, and after the last part is published, you'll have just over two weeks to finish knitting the shawl for Mother's Day.
Schedule:
Part 1: Thursday, April 2nd;
Part 2: Thursday, April 9th;
Part 3: Thursday, April 16th;
Part 4: Thursday, April 23rd;
Mother's Day: Sunday, May 10th.
There will also be a Facebook group, which you can access by providing your order ID. This group isn't necessary for knitting the KAL (Knit-Along), but it's a great place to share your ideas about the many different color combinations. We'll send you the group link by email when your package ships.

Knitting set contains - Featured Yarns:
- 1 Lola Charms Lime 10 x 25gm
- 1 contrast Solo Lola Candy 200gm
- The knitting instructions as a PDF by email, cannot be purchased separately.
You can select alternative colourways, please select own colour choice in drop down menu and advise BMY of your choices which you can view on the links below:
Lolas solo colour options here, and Lola Charm options here, must select 10 set.
The magic of shadow knitting – you only see the knitted word "LOVE" and the heart from the side.
- Quality : 50% cotton, 50% polyacrylic , non-scratchy and has a luxurious, silky sheen, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 - tested for harmful substances
- Dimensions : 200cm x 78cm
- Required needle : Circular knitting needle 80-100cm, 3mm needle size
- Difficulty level : Beginner
- Instructions : written instructions with each stitch counted out, knitting chart also available as a supplement (which does not have to be used)
- Instructions in German and English
- Required skills : knit and purl stitches, increases and decreases
- Other materials : Scissors + needle for sewing in the beginning and end threads
- Washing instructions : machine washable at 40°C
- Knitting kit includes : 1 LoLa Charms & 1 contrasting yarn cake in the chosen colors + the KAL pattern parts via email.
